From November 17th to 19th, 2016, the first Gulf Concours retro rare car show was held in the grass in front of the Dubai Yacht Hotel, with Swiss watchmaking brand Vacheron Constantin as the event sponsor. In return to the watch connoisseurs of the Gulf countries, Vacheron Constantin added a new creation to the iconic Metiers d’ Art master series-Metiers d’ Art Master Gyr watch, limited edition of 10 pieces.
Vacheron Constantin Metiers d’ Art Gyr watch
The Vacheron Constantin Metiers d’ Art Master Gyr watch pays tribute to the long-established art of falconry in Arabia, and is a model of Swiss watchmaking excellence. The engraved dial is carefully decorated with a falcon made of 18K white gold. From feathers to eagle claws, every detail of the carving is meticulous and vivid. In the deep blue sky, the falcon glides across the orange-red desert and has a wide field of vision, unobstructed by pointers and hour markers.
Gyr watch’s delicate decoration inspired by the art of Arabian falconry
This watch is equipped with Caliber 2460 G4 movement, which displays hour, minute, week and date information through four windows located on the edge of the dial. The hours and minutes are jump-type, and the day and day are sliding. These features show the unique talent of Vacheron Constantin to design and create excellent timepieces.
The pattern on the back of the Gyr watch is reminiscent of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
The bottom of the watch is decorated with Islamic motifs, reminiscent of the famous Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Both the bottom and dial are homages to Arab culture, and equally striking. The Vacheron Constantin Metiers d’ Art Master Gyr watch has the Geneva mark and is sold exclusively in brand boutiques in six GCC countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
